QUÉBEC, Feb. 1, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Representatives of the media are invited to attend the open house event of Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) Montcalm, the Naval Reserve unit in Québec City, on 4 February from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 170 Dalhousie St.

The goal of this day event is to inform visitors on the various trades available in the Royal Canadian Navy and the Naval Reserve. Members of the ship's company of HMCS Montcalm and their colleages from the Recruiting Centre will be happy to explain their respective trades and to answer questions. Booths will be set up to illustrate the various trades offered in HMCS Montcalm.
In addition, the representatives of the media will have the opportunity to observe ice diving sessions by the HMCS Montcalm Dive Team, as well as the unit's ice canoe race team in full preparation for the following day's race, part of the Carnaval de Québec festivities.
