Media Advisory - Hope Live Returns with another Blockbuster Songwriters Circle
OTTAWA, Oct. 31, 2013 /CNW/ - Hope Live returns to the Great Canadian Theatre Company for its fifth year with its one of a kind evening of food, friends and music. Recognized as one of Ottawa's 'must-attend' events, this high-profile gala brings together the nation's political, business, and media communities in an intimate setting for an experience unlike any other in the city.
This year features Canadian musical royalty Randy Bachman and Gord Downie together with rising star Serena Ryder who form the Hope Live Songwriters' Circle. They will share songs and stories in an acoustic environment while host Rick Mercer will bring his usual wit and warmth to the festivities. Restaurateur Stephen Beckta and Chef Michael Moffat will round out the event with a unique gastro-experience before and after the show.
Funds raised from the evening support Fertile Future, a national charitable foundation working to enrich the lives of young people diagnosed with cancer by promoting awareness and understanding of fertility preservation and survivor health care issues. The organization educates health care practitioners on providing timely information on fertility preservation options and long-term health care issues.
