Media Advisory - IABC/Toronto Celebrates the GTA's Brightest Communicators at the 2012 OVATION Awards Gala
TORONTO, May 1, 2012 /CNW/ - The Toronto Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is gearing up for the much-anticipated 2012 OVATION Awards Gala. This year marked another successful year for IABC/Toronto's flagship awards program. In addition to the presentation of the OVATION awards, there will surely be excitement in the air as the People's Choice and Awards of Distinction are announced at the Gala.
IABC/Toronto is also pleased to announce the winner of the Bobbie Resnick Philanthropy Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership, contribution to the communications profession and service to the community. This year's recipient Friends for Life Foundation will be recognized for their contributions.
A round of applause also goes to Conestoga College student Bethany Cawker, winner of the 2012 IABC/Toronto Student of the Year. The Bobbie Resnick and Student of the Year awards will be presented at the OVATION Awards Gala.
