MONTREAL, July 29, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The ALS Society of Quebec invites the media to the launch of the 2015 Ice Bucket Challenge Friday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at the Cage aux Sports at the Bell Centre.
Initiated by Pete Frates and Pat Quinn, two young Americans with ALS, the viral phenomenon is back in force this August, and every August until a cure is found!
This event will give us the opportunity to:
- Highlight the impact of the 2014 Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS and the ALS Society's of QC's mission
- Launch the 2015 awareness campaign
- Capture the Ice Bucket Challenge live outside
Guests include: Former spokesperson Vincent Damphousse, Marc Griffin, PJ Stock and his brother Dean (diagnosed in December), Isabelle Tremblay, families living with ALS, researchers, Luc Vilandré (president of the ALS Society of QC).
