Media invited to meet military participants at sledge hockey event
WHISTLER, BC, March 1, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Forces' Soldier On Program, in partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), is hosting their inaugural Allied Winter Camp in Whistler, British Columbia, from Wed., Feb 27 until Fri., Mar 8.
The Allied Winter camp will provide an opportunity for 40 ill or injured members of the military from the United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia and Canada to acquire new skills in para-alpine skiing, para-snowboard, para-Nordic skiing, sledge hockey, para-biathlon and wheelchair curling, with a Paralympic Games-type finale to close out the 10-day event.
