TORONTO, April 1, 2013 /CNW/ - To help spark Canadians to start saving again, ING DIRECT today announced a 3-month long Savings Sale. Putting money away has gone by the wayside in recent years for many Canadians. ING DIRECT's own research revealed more than half of Canadians (52%) don't put away money into a savings account each month, and out of those who do, 32% aren't confident that they're saving enough. On February 26, 2013, an online survey was conducted among a sample of 1,506 Canadian adults who are Angus Reid Forum panel members. The margin of error — which measures sampling variability — is +/- 2.5%, 19 times out of 20. The sample was balanced by age, gender and region according to the most recent census data.
