TORONTO, Oct. 10, 2016 /CNW/ - Madame Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and girls representing G(irls)20, FitSpirit/Fillactive and Plan International Canada will celebrate International Day of the Girl by opening the market at the Toronto Stock Exchange. Since its launch in 2011, International Day of the Girl has become an opportunity to come together to help galvanize worldwide investment in girls so they can reach their full potential. All three organizations believe that girls as economic actors can bring about change for themselves, their families, and their countries. Conversely, ignoring the power of girls can cost societies billions in lost potential. To underscore that investing in girls and women yields a high ROI, the opening will also include Som Seif, Founder & CEO, Purpose Investments Inc. and representatives of several corporations. To learn more visit FitSpirit/Fillactive, G(irls)20 or Plan International Canada. The event is open to media. Remarks by Madame Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and Som Seif followed by a photo opportunity.
