On December 21, 2012, it was announced that the feature film War Witch, directed by Kim Nguyen, is among the nine candidates shortlisted for Best Foreign Language Film at the 85^th Academy Awards, to be held in Hollywood on February 24, 2013.

The nominees will be announced on the morning of January 10, 2013. If War Witch is among the five nominees for Best Foreign Language Film, journalists are invited to take part in a Q&A with Kim Nguyen and producers Pierre Even and Marie-Claude Poulin (Item 7).

Please note: in the event that War Witch is not selected, the session will be cancelled.

Carolle Brabant, Executive Director of Telefilm Canada, will introduce the filmmakers.

Telefilm chairs the pan-Canadian Oscar selection committee.
