Media Advisory - Interview Opportunity: Canadian Red Cross deploys aid worker
to assist relief efforts in Pakistan
OTTAWA, Aug. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - As the worst disaster in living memory continues to devastate the lives of 20 million people across Pakistan, the Canadian Red Cross is deploying Canadian aid worker Howard Arfin, a long-time international Red Cross delegate, to assist with emergency relief operations.
Arfin is an experienced Red Cross delegate with more than 20 years of field experience. Currently serving as the Canadian Red Cross Head of Delegation in India, he has previously been deployed to East and West Africa, Southeast Asia the Western Balkans and Iraq. He is the recipient of the Governor-General's Community Service Medal, and is inducted as a Member of the Order of Red Cross.
Arfin will be available for media interviews from Pakistan.
