HALIFAX, June 2 /CNW/ - The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to offer an opportunity to tour the prototype for the earthquake and hurricane resistant shelters Canadian donations will support in Haiti. The shelter, a replica of the wooden structures that will be built in Jacmel and Leogane, is currently on display in Halifax as part of the Annual Red Cross Disaster Conference.
Jean-Philippe Tizi, Director of Haiti Operations with the Canadian Red Cross is available to speak about shelter specific challenges and Canadian Red Cross efforts in this area. Journalists are invited to tour the shelter and take photos and video.
