MEDIA ADVISORY - Interview /Photo Opportunity - George Brown College to Host Toronto Mayoral Town Hall
TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - George Brown College is providing its students and the community with an opportunity to engage with the major mayoral candidates during a public Town Hall taking place October 8 from 12 – 1:30pm at its Waterfront Campus, located at 51 Dockside Drive (Queen's Quay at the foot of Sherbourne St.).
The mayoral Town Hall, hosted in partnership with the Globe and Mail and George Brown student newspaper The Dialog, will focus on questions submitted by students, ranging from youth unemployment and job creation to public transit. The event will be moderated by Globe and Mail editorial board page editor, Tony Keller.
The Town Hall is open to the public, but seating is first-come, first-serve. A live webcast of the event will be available online at the George Brown website www.georgebrown.ca. Guests are encouraged to live tweet about the debate using #GBCtownhall.
