MEDIA ADVISORY - Is Alberta failing on energy efficiency?
CALGARY, Jan. 31, 2014 /CNW/ - High costs and financial constraints make energy conservation and efficiency a requirement for some jurisdictions. But in a province like Alberta, where there is an abundance of resources and resultant prosperity in the economy, energy efficiency is easily overlooked. This can lead to serious consequences and missed opportunity.
Media are invited to an upcoming press conference where Dr. Hamid Zareipour will release a report devoted to energy efficiency in Alberta. Dr. Zareipour will compare Alberta's efficiency to that of other provinces and U.S. states. He will also identify opportunities for improvement and explain why the province would be wise not to just settle for the status quo.
