Media Advisory - Is it time to end tax unfairness to families?
CALGARY, April 24, 2013 /CNW/ - In Canada, single-income households pay vastly more tax on their income than do dual-income households. Is this fair to families? The Conservative government has floated the idea of allowing single-income families to split their income between spouses. However, this is easier said than done.
Is income splitting sound public policy that helps families, and if so, how can it be implemented? Jack Mintz will answer these questions at an upcoming media conference, as he releases a report on this important topic for Canadian families.
