RICHMOND, BC, June 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Join Sichuan Airlines and its tourism partners to launch a summer-long Panda Festival, including a contest for a chance to win a family vacation package to see China's famed giant pandas in person at the Panda Base and Research Centre in Chengdu, China.

What:

Events to include:   

  • Sneak preview of Sichuan Airlines' Panda Plaza attraction, to be staged at Richmond Night Market throughout the summer
  • Speeches and contest launch
  • Official naming ceremony for YVR's newly-adopted baby panda, a resident of Chengdu's Panda Base, whose name will be chosen by the public via social media
