OTTAWA, Sept. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - Join Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, as he hosts the Generation Energy Forum from October 11-12, 2017, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Since Generation Energy was launched in April 2017, more than 200,000 Canadians from all ages and walks of life have engaged in conversations in person and online to share their visions for Canada's energy future.
Some 500 people – from youth to industry, academic, Indigenous and community leaders – will come together in Winnipeg to explore Canada's path to affordable energy, the next generation in technology and innovation, energy governance and Canada's role in the global energy transition.
Some of the greatest challenges in charting this course will be addressing climate change while keeping energy affordable, ensuring there are jobs for Canadians, and keeping our industries competitive.
