CALGARY, Sept. 20, 2016 /CNW/ - Canada Bread Company, Limited, a proud member of Grupo Bimbo, hosts the first annual Global Energy Race by Dempster's on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Taking place in Calgary, Alberta at Edworthy Park, the race will offer two distances including a family-fun 3 kilometre run for children, walkers and short-distance runners and a 10 kilometre run for competitive and non-professional runners.
For every kilometre completed in the races, Dempster's will donate two slices of bread to the Calgary Dream Centre in support of those in need. The race will also be part of a Guinness World Records® attempt to set the world record for the most 10K races held simultaneously worldwide by Canada Bread's parent company, Grupo Bimbo.
