Media Advisory - Joint forces investigation into network of prescription medication and illegal drug trafficking Français
ORILLIA, ON, July 24, 2012 /CNW/ - The results of a complex, joint forces investigation will be announced by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and its partners at a media conference tomorrow morning in Thunder Bay.
OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Commander -- Chief Superintendent Mike ARMSTRONG -- will provide details of an investigation in connection with trafficking prescription medication and illegal drugs from southern Ontario to several communities in north-western Ontario. Also attending will be prominent representatives of the Thunder Bay Police Service, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, Anishinabek Police Service, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who were instrumental in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion. A representative of the Thunder Bay Drug Strategy will also be among those available for one-on-one interviews following the formal media conference.
