LAVAL, QC, June 6, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - This year marks the largest fundraising goal ever, $8 million to support the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes. More than 45,000 people across Canada in over 70 communities are expected to "Join the Community" in an effort to reach this monumental goal.
New this year, JDRF and TELUS are launching the first ever TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes Scavenger Hunt to encourage more Canadians to "Join the Community" by walking, pledging, fundraising or donating in support of diabetes research. It's time to dust off those sneakers and join the fun!
On June 9th in Laval, walk alongside participants and search for hidden objects along the walk route for an opportunity to receive a prize. For a chance to win, participants must take a photo of each object they find, and can Tweet them using the official Walk hash tag #TELUSWalk.
