starts Friday

TORONTO , Sept. 30 /CNW/ - In just a few days the largest trade show for the natural and organics industry in the country takes place in Toronto .

Expo East, www.chfa.ca, opens its doors at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, with an educational conference on October 2 and a trade show, October 3-4, which has over 550 exhibiting companies from across Canada and the United States featuring the newest innovations in natural and organic products for home, health, and planet.

Produced by the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA), the annual event draws an audience of more than 3,800 buyers, retailers, media and service providers.

    
    Conference and trade show highlights include:

    -   Keynote speaker, Dr. Hal Gunn of InspireHealth, www.inspirehealth.ca,
        Canada's foremost integrated cancer care centre, discusses the new,
        and growing, approach to health care that actively supports mind,
        body and spirit of patients undergoing cancer treatment (October 2
        from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.) Dr. Gunn is a recent recipient of the Dr.
        Rogers Prize for Excellence in Complementary & Alternative Medicine
        for 2009, www.drrogersprize.org, announced earlier this month.

    -   Expert panel discussion on the impact of the new Organic Products
        Regulation, 2009 (October 2 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
