Media Advisory - Leafs Shape Up School Visit on Monday
TORONTO, Jan. 24, 2014 /CNW/ -
WHAT: | Current Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto native David Clarkson will return to his former school with teammate Morgan Rielly with the Shape Up program. Toronto Maple Leafs trainers will also be on hand at Norseman Junior Middle School for a special visit to put students through a workout and teach them about the importance of physical fitness. Now in its fourth year, Shape Up uses professional sports to provide Daily Physical Activity resources to Ontario's elementary teachers including demonstrations and "model classroom" videos as well as activity cards, circuits and missions from the Leafs, Marlies, Raptors and Toronto FC. Participating classes are eligible to win school visits and clinics with players and attend free Shape Up event highlighting all four teams. |
