Media Advisory - Lieutenant Governor hosts reception for returning London 2012 Olympians and Paralympians
TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will host a reception to celebrate Ontario's Olympians and Paralympians returning from London 2012.
In the 2012 Olympics, Ontario was represented by 119 athletes who competed in 21 sports. During the Paralympics, Ontario was represented by 47 athletes who competed in over 50 events. Together, our competitors brought home five gold, seven silver, and eight bronze medals.
A tremendous achievement on the world stage!
