Media Advisory - LIVE FROM "TestFest" - Day One Consumer Alert
TORONTO, Oct. 22, 2012 /CNW/ - Need to compare a Dodge Dart to a Nissan Sentra, or a Chevrolet Malibu Eco t the Ford Fusion or the Honda Accord?
How about a BMW 3-Series to a Lexus ES350 or a Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 with a Porsche Boxster?
Did you know that over 80 Canadian automotive journalists are spending the week at the Niagara airport test-driving 180 brand new 2013 vehicles in order to assist consumers with those comparisons?
They are all members of AJAC: the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. They test-drive vehicles as part of their regular professional work in media outlets across Canada.
The test-drive evaluations at "TestFest" are based on back-to-back testing in real-world situations so that the test results are directly relevant to potential new car buyers.
What's the point? While at "TestFest", our journalist "road-test" experts vote on the 2013 "Best New" winners in eleven (11) different categories covering small cars, luxury cars, family cars, SUVs, CUVs, sports and performance dreams, to name a few. Those winners will be declared this Thursday, Oct. 25th during AJAC's Canadian Car of the Year Awards press conference.
However, media and consumers do not have to wait until Thursday to catch the excitement. "Live From TestFest" are daily updates featuring photos and video posted to the AJAC web site.
Of course, you can also follow us on Twitter (#testfest) or Facebook.
Starting Tuesday and throughout the week, watch www.AJAC.ca for video car reviews featuring the power and performance of the best new 2013 vehicles, brought to you by Shell V-Power, Official Fuel Sponsor of The Canadian Car of the Year Awards "TestFest".
