Media Advisory - Live from "TestFest" - Day Three and the Winners Are ?
TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - Over 80 Canadian automotive journalists have just filed their ballots in order to determine what are the 2013 "Best New" vehicles in eleven (11) different categories.
KPMG is sequestered right now on-site at TestFest to tabulate the journalists' votes. They include over 40,000 data points. Every vehicle detail, from safety features to cargo capacity, is thoroughly scrutinized, discussed, and individually rated by the journalists via secret ballots.
No one knows who are the winners until Thursday's (Oct. 25th) press conference beginning at 6:00 pm. Location: Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls.
The automotive journalists are all members of AJAC: the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. They test-drive vehicles as part of their regular professional work in media outlets across Canada.
They then meet once a year for the five-day evaluation week. The event is known within the automotive industry as "TestFest". The journalists' test-drive evaluations are based on back-to-back testing in real-world situations so that the test results are relevant to consumers. In fact, potential new car or SUV buyers can use the test-drive information as a resource buying guide.
