TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - Follow the J-Source liveblog and livestream for tonight's CJF J-Talk, Gawking, Gossip and Crowdfunding: Is this the New Journalism? presented by The Canadian Journalism Foundation. The sold-out event takes place at the TMX Broadcast Centre at The Exchange Tower in Toronto and is part of the CJF J-Talks series, exploring issues and challenges shaping journalism.
Gawker offers a blend of hard news, gossip and a cheeky tone. It's also the site behind the controversial 'Crackstarter' campaign. John Cook, editor-in-chief, discusses media ethics, coverage of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and crowdfunding in a conversation with Jeffrey Dvorkin, media ethics commentator and director of the journalism program at University of Toronto Scarborough.
Thank you to CJF J-Talk exclusive series sponsor BMO Financial Group and in-kind supporters CNW and CPAC.
