What is Cogeco? A cable distributor? A broadcaster? No one can claim to truly know this major telecommunications industry player better than its President and CEO, Louis Audet. Under his guidance, Cogeco Cable has become the second-largest cable distribution company in Québec and Ontario, serving nearly 900,000 subscribers from Gaspé to Windsor. Cogeco Cable, through Cogeco Data Services, operates data centres for its business customers in both provinces. Today, Cogeco Diffusion, a COGECO Inc. affiliate company, is a leading Quebec radio broadcaster with 13 stations and provides news services to 47 radio stations across the province. Through Cogeco Métromédia, the company also offers specialized media representation services in the public transit signage sector in major Québec and Canadian cities. In addition, within a very few months Cogeco Cable will expand its cable distribution operations to the United States following its recent acquisition of Atlantic Broadband.
The Canadian Club is pleased to welcome Louis Audet, an influential businessman who has elevated the company founded in 1957 by his father Henri Audet into the ranks of Canada's telecommunications flagships.
