Media advisory - Major green energy announcement concerning Ontario FIT solar power contracts
OTTAWA, Aug. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) and its investment partners will make a major announcement in Ottawa tomorrow concerning its participation in the Ontario Feed-In Tariff (FIT) solar power contracts. To help Ontario's clean energy economy continue to grow the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) has offered 951 new small Feed-in Tariff (FIT) renewable energy contracts. These contracts represent enough megawatts (MW) to power more than 21,000 homes.
The announcement will be made by MNO President Gary Lipinski and provincial Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli and Ontario Power Authority representatives will also be in attendance.
