OTTAWA, July 18, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jane Philpott, Canada's Minister of Health, and Robert C. McLeod, Deputy Premier, Minister of Finance, and Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Government of the Northwest Territories, will announce a major investment in research to improve patient care and Indigenous Peoples' health outcomes in the Northwest Territories.
Following this announcement, Minister Philpott will visit the Institute for Circumpolar Health Research to meet with researchers and community members working on projects related to climate change, health systems stewardship in the High Arctic, and promising practices in suicide prevention in the North.
