Media Advisory - Maple Ridge Community Gaming Centre ready to break ground and officially mark the beginning of construction
MAPLE RIDGE, BC, Nov. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - On Friday, November 9th, Maple Ridge Mayor, Ernie Daykin, BCLC President and CEO, Michael Graydon and the executive team at Great Canadian Gaming Corporation will officially mark the beginning of construction and development of the new Maple Ridge Community Gaming Centre with a groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at 22710 Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge.

The brand new Maple Ridge Community Gaming Centre will aim to provide exceptional entertainment experiences and offer the thrill of gaming in a responsible manner," said Howard Blank, Vice President, Communications, Entertainment and Responsible Gaming, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
The new 28,000 square foot entertainment gaming centre will replace the existing gaming facility and offer a variety of slot machines, 200 bingo seats, restaurant with an outdoor patio, dynamic flex space, water features, a green roof and 220 parking stalls.
"As this project has moved through the planning process the team at Great Canadian has demonstrated a commitment to creating a top quality development. This project will result in the connection of the Port Haney community to the Downtown via 227 Street, and builds on the strength and vitality of the business community in the eastern portion of our Town Centre. We look forward to the grand opening celebration in late 2013," said Mayor Daykin.
