Media Advisory - Mary Robinson speaks tonight at conference on the future of

TORONTO, March 4 /CNW/ - Mary Robinson, former president of Ireland and current Chair of The Ethical Globalization Initiative, is in Toronto tonight to address the Ontario 2020 conference on the future of the province.
Ms. Robinson, who is also a former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, will speak on "Meeting the challenges of 2020."

An initiative of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, Ontario 2020: Planning Our Future Together is taking place at the Sheraton Centre March 4-5. Steering committee members for the conference include Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan; Ontario Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Len Crispino; United Way of Toronto President & CEO Frances Lankin; CAW President Ken Lewenza; Toronto Community Housing Corporation CEO Keiko Nakamura; music entrepreneur Farley Flex; Ontario Transportation Minister Kathleen Wynne; Paul Juniper, Director of the Industrial Relations Centre at Queen's University; and OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas.
Conference participants from business, government, labour, and community agencies will meet over the course of the conference to build and discuss possible scenarios of the province's future in four key areas: the economy, community, health care and education.
