TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is pleased to announce Toronto Mayor-elect John Tory will help officially open The 92nd Royal during the Opening Ceremony on Friday, November 7.

In addition to words from Mr. Tory to mark the start of The Royal's 10-day run, the opening ceremony will also feature Juno-nominated Canadian singer-songwriter, Royal Wood, who will perform a special Royal-themed version of his hit song, Forever and Ever.
The first 1,000 visitors through the doors when The Royal opens Friday will be welcomed with delicious complimentary butter tarts to start their day in style. The fresh-baked sweet treats from OMG Baked Goodness, are being handed out in honour of a new feature at The Royal this year — the inaugural Butter Tart Competition.
Featuring 10 days of programming which showcases the best in Canadian agriculture, fresh local food and equine excellence, The Royal takes place from November 7-16, 2014 in the Direct Energy Centre and Ricoh Coliseum.
