TORONTO, Nov. 4, 2015 /CNW/ - Toronto Mayor John Tory will help The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair kick off its 93rd year of bringing country life to the heart of Canada's biggest city on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015.

The first 1,000 visitors through the doors when The Royal opens Friday will be welcomed with delicious complimentary butter tarts made by 2014 Royal Champion Betty's Pies and Tarts of Cobourg, Ont.
Visitors who attend the opening ceremony will also get to sample a new Canadian-bred pear and meet some of Team Canada's Pan Am equestrian riders.
Featuring 10 days of family-oriented entertainment, exhibits and agricultural competition, The Royal runs from November 6-15, 2015 at Toronto's Exhibition Place.
Funding support for The Royal has been provided by the City of Toronto and the Government of Ontario.
