Media Advisory - Media accreditation registration now available for 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Français
VANCOUVER, July 3, 2014 /CNW/ - The largest Special Olympics Canada Summer Games are taking place in Vancouver July 8 – 12, 2014. The opening and closing ceremonies, all sporting events and medal ceremonies will be open to media with Games accreditation.
Media across the country are encouraged to register in advance to obtain their accreditation and/or to be added to the media distribution list which will receive daily updates on 2014 Games activities, athletes results and exclusive materials, including daily updates and advisories. The 2,000 athletes, coaches and officials will be joined by celebrity athletes from across Canada including NHL stars, Willie Mitchell and Jake Gardiner, BC Lions Quarterback Travis Lulay, Vancouver Whitecaps' Jay DeMerit and former Olympians, Mark Tewksbury and Jamie Salé.

During the 2014 Games at the University of British Columbia, media must check-in at the at the media centre located at The Rugby Pavillion at 2584 East Mall. The media centre is open daily from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

The 2014 Games are taking place in Vancouver, British Columbia, from July 8 to 12, 2014.
