OTTAWA, June 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Satyamoorthy Kabilan, Director, National Security and Strategic Foresight, The Conference Board of Canada, is available to comment on the revelations that a Canadian citizen was involved in carrying out a  double suicide bombing in Iraq in November.

The Conference Board's 2012 report, Terrorism and Radicalization to Violence: Making Prevention Work, concludes that understanding violent extremism and the path individuals take to radicalize and commit violent acts is one key to countering terrorism. Community members and their leaders can play a substantial role in prevention.
