OTTAWA, May 8, 2016 /CNW/ - The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, will make an announcement about Canada's position on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People during their participation at the United Nations for the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
Minister Bennett will participate in the press conference Indigenous Peoples: Conflict, peace and resolution along with Alvaro Esteban Pop Ac, Chair of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (Guatemala) and Raja Devasish Roy, Member of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (Bangladesh) on Monday, 9 May, 1:15 p.m.
