TORONTO, July 6, 2015 /CNW/ - Media are invited to an exclusive tour on Saturday, July 11 — the opening day of CIBC Pan Am Park, which will be known as "action central" during the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games.
The waterfront home of five venues and 16 thrilling ticketed Pan Am sport competitions, everything from gymnastics to beach volleyball to rugby sevens and handball, CIBC Pan Am Park also boasts a dynamic and open common domain area.
This common area, which is a whopping 52,249 square metres in size, is chock-a-block full of activities and entertainment — and best of all — free for all to attend from July 11 to 25.
This includes two stages where PANAMANIA, presented by CIBC, will show daily musical acts. The park also has one of the city's largest temporary beer gardens — thanks to Molson Canadian House — and a smorgasbord of food trucks to tempt your taste buds!
The tour will be led by Allen Vansen, TO2015's executive vice-president of operations, sport and venue management, and feature appearances by athletes at CIBC #PanAmazing square and top Canadian business leaders, as well as the opportunity to touch the TORONTO 2015 competition medals and take in a live performance by Five Alarm Funk at the 800-seat Molson Canadian House.
Please note: This tour of the common domain area of the park is open to both media accredited for the Games and non-accredited media.
