Winter Fair readies for a royal visit

TORONTO , Nov. 4 /CNW/ - Just hours before Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall arrive at The Ricoh Coliseum to host The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair's Opening Ceremony; media are invited to visit The Royal grounds to sneak a peek of all the behind-the-scenes set up of the Fair.

On Thursday, November 5th , media are invited to shoot some behind-the-scenes footage, conduct interviews with everyone from The Royal's chief executive to the Rodeo Ringmaster to gourmet chef. Whether it is cattle being primped and fritted or a last-minute sweep of The Soy House, media are guaranteed to capture the thrill and excitement of getting ready for The Royal Opening Ceremony.

On Friday, November 6th from 8:30 am to 9:45 am , The Royal will open its doors and offer free admission to celebrate the arrival of The Royal Couple, as well as the Fair's opening ceremony. Royal watchers will also be treated to equestrian entertainment including a performance by The Canadian Cowgirls.

The largest of its kind in the world, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is an experiential event that takes place in Toronto every November at Exhibition Place. Now in its 87th year, The Royal offers urban adults and children alike a chance to see, smell, hear and taste authentic country life. Running from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 15, 2009 , The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair will showcase innovations in food and agriculture, thousands of livestock animals, and dozens of the world's top equestrian horses and riders.
