Media Advisory - Media opportunity - Military Training in Valcartier in Anticipation of a Deployment in Afghanistan this Fall Français
VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Sept. 14, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to observe about forty soldiers training in preparation for deployment to Kabul and surrounding this fall under Operation ATTENTION.
When: Tuesday, September 18, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to twelve noon - arrival at 8:15 a.m.
Where: Valcartier Garrison
On this occasion, reporters will be able to interview Colonel Roch Pelletier, commander of Task Force 4-12, as well as members of his contingent. A convoy escorting scenario faced with enemy threat, mimicking the reality that troops could be exposed to during their mission, will allow dynamic image acquisition.
Media representatives interested in covering this event are asked to quickly contact 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Public Affairs Officer. After their arrival at the main gate on September 18 at 8:15 a.m., reporters will be escorted to the training area where the event will take place.
