Media tour Friday, September 5; facility to start operating Monday, September 8
TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015) along with its partners invites media to tour the recently opened CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House on Friday, September 5 at 10:30 a.m.
The venue, the biggest new-build for the Games and one of the largest ever investments in Canadian amateur sport history, is located at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Following the Games, the facility, co-owned by the City of Toronto and the University of Toronto Scarborough, will be known as the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.
The guided media tour will stop in key areas of the building where representatives will detail the world-class features of the facility, as well as how university students, residents and high-performance Canadian athletes will benefit from this Games legacy.
