Media Advisory - Meeting Regarding Proposed RioCan Development at Bathurst and College
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 9, 2013 /CNW/ - Out of respect for the city planning process and to allow the details of the developer's overall proposal to be fully reviewed, Walmart Canada will not attend tonight's meeting regarding the proposed RioCan development for the Kromer Radio site at Bathurst and College.
Walmart believes it is important that the City planners, the developer and local residents have the opportunity to review and provide details of the overall proposed development with respect to the City of Toronto's Official Plan, and to discuss important development issues such as streetscape, parking, vehicular access, transportation reports, economic impact reports and zoning. These are all considerations which affect the decision regarding whether the proposed development is appropriate for the site.
Walmart is paying extremely close attention to the dialogue surrounding this proposal, and we are monitoring feedback very closely. We appreciate all the views expressed by the community and look forward to reviewing the feedback from tonight's meeting. We would welcome the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community and look forward to being part of the conversation as the process moves forward.
