The Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response (MEOPAR) network and Irving Shipbuilding Inc. will announce $1.8 million to support ocean research across Canada. Funding will support a total of nine new research projects at six universities that align with MEOPAR's overall goal of strengthening Canada's ability to anticipate and respond to marine risk. This funding was made possible in part by a $1 million contribution from Irving Shipbuilding Inc., which is pursuant to its Value Proposition obligation under the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy. |
