Media Advisory - Metrolinx Board to discuss next steps for transit expansion
TORONTO, June 23, 2014 /CNW/ - The Metrolinx Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, June 26 to hear a number of reports, including a presentation by CEO Bruce McCuaig and Chair J. Rob S. Prichard on the exciting path forward over the next decade, and a report on the implementation of our regional farecard on the TTC.
The Board will also hear about progress being made on a number of key transit projects - including the Yonge Relief Network Strategy and the legislated review of the Regional Transportation Plan.
Updates from Metrolinx Operating Divisions—GO Transit, Union Pearson Express, and PRESTO—will also be shared as Metrolinx continues to build more transit and improve transportation across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Metrolinx Board Chair and CEO will be available to media following the public session of the board meeting. Please note that the public session begins at approximately 10:50 a.m.
