Media Advisory - Mexican Landowners to Appear at Excellon Resources Shareholders Meeting in Toronto
Concerns over lack of transparency, human rights and labour violations
TORONTO, May 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Communal landowners from Mexico are travelling to Toronto to demand resolution of a lack of transparency, abysmal community relations and labour rights violations in Mexico by Canadian mining company Excellon Resources.
The landowners, who own Excellon Resources shares, will appear at the company's shareholders meeting to demand immediate negotiations to resolve a host of serious concerns. Supporters including union and civil society allies will rally outside the shareholders meeting.
