QUEBEC CITY, Feb. 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media are invited to join some 200 reservists of the Canadian Army belonging to the 35th Canadian Brigade Group who will take part in a large scale exercise named GUERRIER NORDIQUE 2012 (GN 12) which will take place from 3 to 10 March at the northern village of Salluit, Nunavik.

GUERRIER NORDIQUE 12 is a winter training exercise taking place in an extreme austere environment under arctic and subarctic climate. The aim is to train the reservists capacity to become a pertinent force in the protection of Canada's sovereignty in the North.
This exercise also aims to maintain and develop Canadians Reserve forces contribution and achievements of the last ten years during operations in Canada and abroad.
Notes: Two seats are available within the 35th Canadian Brigade Group Media Embeding Program. The seating will be based on a first come, first served and one representative from each agency. Departure dates and return are subject to weather conditions. Media interested in participating are required to inform the 35 CBG Public Affairs office no later than Friday, 10 February 2012 4:00 p.m.
