Media Advisory - Minister Aglukkaq to launch new national initiative on transplantation research
OTTAWA, April 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health, will launch a new national research initiative designed to increase organ and tissue donation rates in Canada and improve the lives of Canadians who receive transplants. Minister Aglukkaq will be joined by researchers Drs. Lori West from the University of Alberta and Marie-Josée Hébert from the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal, Hélène Campbell, transplant recipient and organ donor advocate, and local transplant recipients and their families.
