Media Advisory - Minister Alexander to welcome 35 new citizens at centre ice at the Air Canada Centre Français
TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2014 /CNW/ - To celebrate Canada's Citizenship Week 2014, Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Chris Alexander, Assistant General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kyle Dubas and Minal Kamath, Canadian Tire's Vice-President of Human Resources Infrastructure & Operations, will welcome 35 new citizens at a special citizenship ceremony at centre ice at the Air Canada Centre.
Canada's Citizenship Week (October 13-19) is a celebration of Canadian history, traditions, culture, values and pride. It provides Canadians with an opportunity to reflect on what it means to be Canadian, including our rights and responsibilities.
