OTTAWA, Sept. 10, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Health, will make important announcements and provide opening remarks at the Canada-France Global Dementia Legacy Event.
Minister Ambrose will be joined by Mr. Philippe Zeller, Ambassador of France to Canada,
Dr. Dennis Gillings, World Dementia Envoy, Dr. Alain Beaudet, President of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Pr. Yves Lévy, Chief Executive Officer of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) and Chairman of the French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Healthcare (Aviesan), and Ms. Mimi Lowi-Young, Chief Executive Officer of the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
The Canada-France Global Dementia Legacy Event brings together leading researchers and industry experts to discuss how to accelerate the development of new treatments and technologies to improve the lives of people with dementia and their families and caregivers.
