From April 22 to April 27, the delegation will participate in ceremonies of remembrance at the Republic of Korea National Cemetery in Seoul, the Korean War Memorial to the Armed Forces of the British Commonwealth in Gapyeong, and the Canadian Korean War Memorial Garden in Naechon.
2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the Korean War and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and the Republic of Korea. In January, Minister Blaney declared 2013 as the Year of the Korean War Veteran.
