OTTAWA, Jan. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jim Carr, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, is travelling to Mexico from January 31 to February 3, 2017, to reaffirm Canada and Mexico's strong North American partnership and identify areas for further cooperation, including sustainable mineral resource development, energy security and clean energy.
The Minister is accompanied by one of the largest delegations ever of Canada's mining, oil and gas, and clean technology sectors, which is poised to advance business relationships between our two countries and assist Mexico in achieving its goals with respect to energy reform and socially responsible mineral development. For the first time, Indigenous representatives will be part of the NRCan delegation.
Minister Carr will deliver keynote addresses at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City, the Mexico Mining Forum and the Energy Mexico Oil Gas Power 2017 Expo & Congress; host a number of roundtables; and meet with his Mexican government counterparts.
