Media Advisory - Minister Goodale to announce funding for researchers to pursue science without boundaries

REGINA, Sept. 7, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will announce major funding for fundamental research in the natural sciences and engineering. The Minister will be joined by Pierre Charest, Vice-President, Research Grants and Scholarships for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

The funds include grants to established and early-career researchers as well as scholarships to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows across Canada. The investment will provide researchers with the foundation they need to push the boundaries of discovery and innovation while strengthening a culture of curiosity and diversity in Canadian science.
