Media Advisory - Minister Joly to Outline the Government of Canada's Vision for the Future of Canada's Creative Industries Français
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, to announce the first-ever economic strategy for Canada's cultural and creative industries
OTTAWA, Sept. 27, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will deliver a speech on Thursday, September 28, to the Economic Club of Canada, outlining the Government of Canada's vision for Canada's cultural and creative industries in a digital world.
The event will be broadcast live on Facebook, giving Canadians across the country the opportunity to tune in and engage on this important vision.
A media availability will follow Minister Joly's remarks.
There will be an opportunity to take photographs and B-roll footage at the DAÏMÔN Centre, at which time the Minister will be meeting with organizers and artists to tour the Centre and highlight the funding it recently received from the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund. DAÏMÔN is an artist-run centre whose mission is to support artistic exploration, creation, production and dissemination in the field of digital and media arts, and more precisely in video, audio and photography.
